Vercel Pro vs Enterprise: what you actually get, and how to get Enterprise terms without the minimum

Vercel's Pro plan is where most product teams live, and its Enterprise plan is where the features they eventually need are kept. The gap between the two is mostly a contract, not a technology. This guide sets out what each tier includes, what Enterprise really costs, and how billing ownership changes the picture.

What Pro gives you

Pro is a per-seat plan with generous included bandwidth, function invocations and build minutes, and usage-based overages beyond them. It includes preview deployments, analytics, and community or email support with no response target. For most teams shipping a Next.js app, Pro is technically sufficient for a long time.

What Enterprise adds

  • Support with response targets and an account team, and access to Vercel engineers during incidents.
  • SAML single sign-on and directory sync, plus audit logs for the team.
  • Contractual uptime commitments and security documentation for your customers' procurement teams.
  • Committed usage pricing: bandwidth, function invocations and edge requests priced below Pro's overage rates when you commit to a volume.
  • Additional deployment features such as more concurrent builds, longer function durations and advanced firewall rules.

Note what is not on the list: the platform itself. Enterprise deploys the same way, with the same CLI and the same Git integration. The difference is the contract wrapped around it.

What Enterprise costs

Vercel does not publish Enterprise pricing. In practice it is an annual commitment that starts in the low tens of thousands of dollars a year and scales with seats and usage, negotiated by a sales team. For a team spending twelve hundred dollars a month on Pro, Enterprise is a step up in cost that is hard to justify for SSO and a support line alone.

How team billing ownership works

A Vercel team has owners, members and a billing owner. When a broker with an Enterprise agreement becomes the billing owner of your team, your team's usage is billed under that agreement. Your projects, domains, environment variables, deploy hooks and members stay exactly as they were. You add one owner and change nothing else.

  1. 1You invite the broker as a team owner.
  2. 2The broker moves the team's billing to its agreement. Vercel confirms the change to existing owners.
  3. 3Your next Vercel usage appears on the broker's statement to you, at the agreed rate, with the statement text the broker set.
  4. 4SSO and audit log become available to your team under the agreement.

What to watch

Make sure you remain an owner of the team, that the broker's ownership is documented as billing-only, and that the exit path is written down: billing reverts to your own card at the end of a billing month and the broker leaves the team.

When you should still buy Enterprise directly

If you need a contractual uptime SLA in your own name, custom legal terms with Vercel, or you are spending well above the Enterprise minimum already, a direct agreement can make sense. Below that, broker team billing gets you the features and the support without the annual commitment.

How Deplium does it

Deplium Vercel is a monthly package that makes Deplium the billing owner of your team under its Enterprise agreement. Bandwidth and function overages are charged at committed rates, SSO and audit log are available from your first seat, and the Desk escalates into Vercel Enterprise support. The card statement reads DEPLIUM VERCEL, and cancelling reverts billing to your team at period end.

Common questions

Will my deploy previews or domains change?

No. Team billing ownership does not touch projects, domains or deployments.

Do all my team members need new accounts?

No. Members keep their Vercel accounts. SSO becomes available as an option for the team; you decide whether to enforce it.

What if Vercel changes its pricing?

The broker's agreement sets the rates it pays; your quote sets the rates you pay. If Vercel changes list prices, the broker gives you the notice it receives before adjusting yours.
